Ngarai Sianok, Enchanting Nature Tourism in Minangah

Famous as a highland city, Bukittinggi has a number of tourist attractions with natural beauty that can not be doubted. One of the places that you must visit is Sianok canyon. A steep valley located on the border of Bukittinggi City has a depth of 100 meters and has a length of approximately 15 meters with a width of 200 meters.

This valley is part of a fault that separates the island of Sumatra into two elongated parts, or what is called the Semangko Fault. Along the fault, the walls are very steep, forming a green valley which is the result of the movement of the earth's crust (synclinal).

In 2007 there was an earthquake in Sumatra that made the wall collapse, but this did not necessarily make the beauty of the Sianok canyon disappear. This tourist attraction actually received an award as The Best Tourism Object in the Padang Tourism Award 2007. Well, want to know just what you can find when you vacation here? Come on, see more!
